James O'Neil is a poet and scholar originally from Rochester, Michigan. He studied literature at Principia College and The University of Iowa, and has lectured for audiences around the United States. After completing his academic studies, James pursued advanced Yoga Nidra certification with Kamini Desai, which he completed in April 2025. Later that year, he began the Dream Work certification program through The Haden Institute.

James is a member of the Oregon Friends of C. G. Jung and the International Association for the Study of Dreams, and his work has appeared in Psychological Perspectives, Dappled Things, and Quadrant: The Journal of the C. G. Jung Foundation.
